One of 鈥檚 founding members is wrapping up her career as a principal dancer at the end of the 2025 season. began with the company in 1998 and rose to the ranks of principal dancer a few years later. After 27 years with the company, Severin-Hansen will continue to work as an educator and director for two of Carolina Ballet's affiliate programs. She sits down with Leoneda Inge to discuss the joy she finds in dance and how it feels to say farewell to the performance stage.
