A campaign committee that raised nearly $40 million to elect Democrats to Council of State positions provided no funding to three of the party鈥檚 candidates for those offices 鈥� who ultimately lost even as Josh Stein won the governor鈥檚 race in a landslide.

深夜福利's Colin Campbell breaks down the races for labor commissioner, lieutenant governor, as well as North Carolina's 1st Congressional District.

Winston says the Department of Labor has been too 鈥渆mployer-centric鈥� under GOP leadership to the detriment of workers. Farley says the department needs to strike a balance between safety needs and regulatory burdens to prevent jobs from being moved outside North Carolina.

On November 6th, North Carolina voters will elect a new governor. They'll also make selections for Council of State offices. The labor commissioner鈥�
