In a two-part series, student activists reflect on their lives one year since UNC-Chapel Hill Polk Place protest. UNC student Brendan Rosenblum was one of the fraternity brothers who held up the American flag when protesters attempted to replace it with a Palestinian one.

Several cases were set to go to trial today. The protest was one of the largest and most intense on UNC-Chapel Hill's campus.

The proposal comes after several pro-Palestinian protests and encampments at UNC System institutions earlier this year.

Roberts has been running the University since January. In this interview with Co-Host Leoneda Inge, he reflects on controversial decisions, policy changes, and campus protests.

UNC-Chapel Hill has already suspended about 15 students following a pro-Palestinian encampment late last month. Interim Chancellor Lee Roberts said the university is continuing to review other demonstrations and plans to 鈥渢ake action鈥� against more protesters.

About a dozen protesters shouted "disclose, divest" as they were escorted out the meeting by UNC police.
